Faith & Character

A Christ-Centered Community

Since 1957, South Hills has been a place where character is taught as deliberately as academics — and where students of every background, local and international, are welcomed with warmth.

Faith That Shapes Character — Not a Requirement to Belong

South Hills is a Christ-centered school. In practice, that means a stable, caring community where integrity, respect, service, and kindness are modeled and expected every day — the kind of environment in which children grow into thoughtful, grounded young people.

Families don't have to share our faith to thrive here. Many of our students — local and international — come from other faith backgrounds, or none at all, and choose South Hills precisely for its steady values and sense of order. All are welcomed, respected, and known by name.

How Faith Shows Up

Lived Out, Day to Day

Faith and character aren't a single class — they're woven through the life of the school.

Chapel & Community

Regular chapel and community gatherings give students a rhythm of reflection, encouragement, and shared values — a pause from the busyness to think about what matters.

Character Formation

Integrity, responsibility, respect, and kindness are taught and reinforced by teachers who know each student — and who model what they teach.

Bible & Worldview

Bible is part of our curriculum, taught thoughtfully and age-appropriately. Students are invited to explore big questions — never required to hold a particular belief.

Service & Outreach

Students learn that character is something you do. Service projects and outreach turn values into action, in our community and beyond.

For Every Family

A Welcoming Home for a Diverse Community

South Hills is intentionally open and multicultural. Local families and international students from many countries learn side by side, each bringing their own traditions and perspectives.

Our promise to every family is the same: a safe, orderly, values-driven environment where your child is seen, supported, and encouraged to become their best self — academically and as a person.
