The Right Step at Every Age
2-Year-Olds
First steps to independence — settling into a loving routine and discovering the joy of school.
- Recognize their own name, basic colors, and shapes
- Count and sing to 20 through fingerplays and music
- Follow daily routines and begin sharing and taking turns
- Grow independent — handwashing, clean-up, and potty-training support at every step
3-Year-Olds
Curiosity takes off — with Abeka phonics, hands-on science, and cooking. (Must be fully potty-trained.)
- Recognize letter sounds and begin printing letters (Abeka phonics)
- Count past 30, sort objects, and finish simple patterns
- Use scissors, glue, and crayons with growing control
- Explore science and cooking experiments — and speak everyday Spanish
Pre-K · 4-Year-Olds
Kindergarten, here we come — a confident year of reading, writing, and real problem-solving.

Child Care Financial Assistance Available
South Hills Academy Preschool proudly partners with the Pomona Unified School District Child Care Services Department to accept families participating in the Alternative Payment Program (APP) and the CalWORKs Child Care Program. Families who qualify may receive assistance with the cost of tuition.
Who Qualifies
Eligibility is determined by Pomona Unified School District based on family income, employment, training or education status, and other criteria established by the State of California.

Once You're Approved
Let us know you've been authorized for services — and we'll walk you through enrollment at SHA from there.
