South Hills Academy strives to provide a Christ-centered atmosphere that enables students to become socially engaged, effective communicators, and critical thinkers in a global setting.

Though each of our four schools has its own personality and program, we operate as one cohesive family. We focus on guiding students in their academic, social, and character growth through a cross-curricular, project-based approach that aims for maximum engagement — students with purpose, and the opportunity to pursue it, thrive in their learning.

Our Story · Since 1957

Nearly 70 Years in West Covina

South Hills Academy opened in 1957 as a Christ-centered private school in the hills of West Covina. What began as a small school has grown into a Pre-K through Grade 12 community — four schools that operate as one family — without ever losing what defined it from the start: teachers who know every student by name.

Today South Hills welcomes both local families and international students from a dozen countries, on the same campus, with the same care.

Grows into a Pre-K–12 community and earns WASC accreditation.

Welcoming the World

Becomes SEVP-certified to issue Form I-20 and opens boarding at the Eagle's Nest for grades 6–12.
