SHA’s ASB Students Extend a Helping Hand
On Monday, April 29th, ASB students from South Hills Academy served their community by volunteering at the Shepherd's Pantry. This meaningful experience provided invaluable support to the pantry's mission of providing food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
With sleeves rolled up and hearts full of compassion, our students dove into the task of sorting through fresh produce and assisting with the distribution process. Volunteering at the Shepherd's Pantry was a powerful learning experience for our students. As they interacted with pantry staff and witnessed the impact of their efforts firsthand, they gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by members of our community and the importance of lending a helping hand to those in need.
At SHA, we believe in the transformative power of service and the importance of instilling values of kindness, empathy, and generosity in our students. Volunteering at organizations like the Shepherd's Pantry not only allows them to give back to their community but also empowers them to become compassionate leaders and agents of change.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Shepherd's Pantry for their tireless dedication to serving our community and providing hope to those in need. And to our students, thank you for your selflessness and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
