As the last few days of August are melting away and we here at South Hills Academy anticipate the start of September, (and the arrival of pumpkin spice everything season), we all get a nice treat this coming weekend. Monday is a federal holiday known as “Labor Day,” which means that there is no school this coming Monday, September 4th.

The Labor Day holiday was designed as a day of acknowledgement and well-deserved rest for the contributions of American workers. It was first honored by the United States Congress in 1894 and is still honored in both our country and our neighboring country of Canada today.

We hope that all of our SHA Eagles and their families have a restful three-day-weekend. The SHA campus and front office will be closed on Monday, September 4th. We will resume classes and normal business hours on Tuesday, September 5th.
