27 Oct Musicals, Mountains, and Mischief – October Fun!!!

It’s hard to believe, but the end of October is quickly upon us! It has certainly been a busy month here on the South Hills Academy campus.
Our elementary Eagles got to experience some fall fun with apple eating contests and having the incredible opportunity to travel to the Haugh Performing Arts Center in Glendora to see a wonderful production of the timeless musical Annie. For many of the children, this was their first time experiencing a live theatrical performance.
At the beginning of the month, our middle school students had the opportunity to participate in a fall religious retreat up in the majestic Big Bear mountains. They got to go hiking, try their hands at activities like archery, and spend quality time bonding with each other and learning more about our Heavenly Father.
Our high school students had a retreat of their own during this time. They got to spend a few days early this month getting to spend time with each other hiking through nature trails, playing dodgeball with the faculty, and during the latter half of the month, we got to have a homecoming party at Round 1 where the students participated in karaoke, volleyball, billiards, and enjoyed some delicious pizza!
We look forward to finishing the last few days of October with our Trunk or Treat celebration on Friday, October 28th and Character Day on October 31st!
