27 Jan Meet Our Teacher: Karina Vasquez
Let’s get to know Ms. Karina, SHA preschool Growing Tree Room’s teacher. She is the person who greets everyone at the preschool gate in the morning. Ms. Karina officially became a staff member in the summer of 2021 and she likes taking on the challenges that come with this position. She enjoys getting to know all the students and their families, and she loves teaching children and making a difference in their lives. Read below to learn more about Ms. Karina.
What is your educational background?
I have a background in Child Development and a certificate in Early Childhood Education.
Why do you want to teach?
I have always loved children, and I hope to influence my students in a positive way.
Describe your teaching experience.
My teaching experience has been filled with nothing but joy. There is no greater joy than seeing my students’ faces light up when they get the answer right. I feel completely blessed to be here at SHA.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe learning best takes place in a positive and safe environment filled with laughter.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spend time with my son, Aiden.
