24 Jan Meet Our Teacher: Helen Sanchez
Today, we introduce Ms. Sanchez, South Hills Academy preschool 4-year-old’s teacher for the Sunshine Room. This is Ms. Sanchez’s sixth year at SHA and her 3rd year with her own classroom. She teaches Pre-K and makes sure her students are ready for the next level of their education. In Ms. Sanchez’ class, Sunshines learn about music, math, language, and more. She believes that young children’s brains can absorb so much information, and she wants to help them discover who they are. Reed below to learn more about Ms. Sanchez.
What is your educational background?
I have a background in Child Development.
Why do you want to teach?
I want to guide my children on their journey of discovering themselves.
Describe your teaching experience.
I have more than 10 years of experience working in a school environment. This is my 6th years at South Hills Academy.
What is your teaching philosophy?
Children with their little brains absorb so much at their age, I want to be there to help them learn as much as they can take.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to go hiking and go on walks with my dog.

1.) I have a 10-year-old chihuahua named Sonnie
