The course is designed to build fundamental knowledge of elementary science teaching and learning including standards-based curriculum design and research-based teaching strategies. The course focuses on developing inquiry-based lessons for students to investigate science, using educational technologies to support science lessons, integrating other subject matter areas with science, designing lessons that include all students in learning science, and assessing student understanding of science and the nature of science. I  will plan and teach lessons for students to learn science, observe students learning, and conduct research on student learning.
