It is minutes away from sceneries that are normally not accessible like beautiful valley peaks, serene ocean views, and exciting mountain hikes.

How many international students do you have?

In a typical school year, there are about 40 international students enrolled (nearly 10% of the student body) from over 12 different countries around the world.

When is the deadline for application?

SHA utilizes rolling admission for our application process. There is no deadline on applications and we accept students year round.

What are the admissions requirements?

We require interested students to fill out an application form, provide a copy of their passport, and submit their transcripts for the last 3 years.

Do you require TOEFL and/or IELTS scores?

No. SHA does not require entrance exam scores as a part of the application process. However, these scores provide significant insight into the student’s English language proficiency.

Is an interview required? What is the format?

Yes. Students applying for middle school or high school must take part in a virtual interview. The interview is a great opportunity for us to get to know your family and for you to ask questions and get to know SHA better.

What is South Hills Academy looking for in an applicant?

SHA is looking for well-rounded students who can succeed in a competitive college preparatory environment. There is no minimum requirement for GPA or standardized test score.

When are admissions decisions made?

Once an applicant finishes the virtual interview with SHA’s admission office, an email will be sent to the student to inform them of the decision. This is typically within 3 business days.

When do accepted students receive an I-20?

Accepted international students will be issued an I-20 after they have submitted the required $5,000 tuition deposit.

Students who have been offered admission to SHA will receive an invoice with specific details on the payment deadline and instructions for submitting payment. SHA does have some sources of financial aid to help cover this amount, depending upon the student’s family financial circumstances. The I-20 is not issued until the required payment has been received.

Do you have dorms?
