02 Jun Dear Class of 2021
Graduation is a ceremony 13 years in the making. From the first day that kids are sent off to their kindergarten classrooms, parents are waiting for the day when they get to see their child march into an auditorium to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance, walk across the stage in a gown and mortarboard, and be handed their diploma. For students, graduation is the penultimate moment a lot of them have been waiting for as well.
They’ve worked hard for this honor, and one can honestly say that the class of 2021 has had to work harder than any other class in history. They have had to spend the majority of their senior year navigating the fluctuations of between online and hybrid learning while the entire world has been gripped in the midst of the worst health crisis in over a century. To the class of 2021, we are so immensely proud of you and can’t wait to see the incredible things you will accomplish as you leave the “Eagle’s Nest” of South Hills Academy, and head out into the world.
“Graduation is not the end; it’s the beginning.” – Senator Orrin Hatch
