High School » Curriculum


SHA course offerings meet both the University of California A-G and California high school requirements. Students are required to complete 270 credits to be eligible to graduate with a South Hills Academy high school diploma. Additional course selections in electives and Advanced Placement (AP) to exceed minimum high school graduation requirements and to be competitive candidate in university admissions. 

Curriculum / Graduation Requirements

  • 30 credits of Social Studies

  • 40 credits of English

  • 40 credits of Math

  • 30 credits of Science

  • 20 credits of Foreign Language

  • 10 credits of Visual or Performing Arts

  • 80 credits of electives or AP courses

  • 20 credits of Physical Education


Each semester course taken at SHA is worth 10 credits
