High School Overview

South Hills Academy is proud of our student-focused learning to provide quality academic college preparation for success in universities worldwide. SHA course curriculum is CA Common Core-based emphasizing the acquisition of knowledge, critical thinking, and real world application. These offerings meet both the University of California A-G and California High School requirements. Students are required to complete 270 credits to be eligible to graduate with a South Hills Academy high school diploma. SHA students further drive their academic profile by completing additional electives and Advanced Placement (AP) course offerings to be competitive in university admissions.

We strive to be at the forefront of education and have made many new additions to our academic program. With the addition of our STEM director, we are offering A-G courses that are Career Technical Education (CTE) focused and will provide students with real world experience in STEM careers. Through adopting various digital platforms and programs such as Illuminate © and Schoology ©, SHA will provide 21st century skills by not only using technology to make assess students, but also by using a blended learning model where students use technology to reflect, explore, and master content.
