19 Jul 2022-2023 Fall Enrollment

As the summer days melt away and stores start to set up their kiosks filled with notebooks, pens, and the variety packs of Crayola crayons (the 96-count box was THE “It Girl” status symbol of my elementary days!), parents across the country are realizing that it’s time to start thinking about sending their children back to school. Some parents are also wondering about exactly where they want to send their children. Education is an investment for the future, and the right school can make all the difference.
South Hills Academy is currently enrolling students in grades Pre-K through 12th grade for the 2022-2023 school year, and we love welcoming new eagles to our nest! At SHA, our school motto is “Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow.” This means that at SHA, we envision a world in which the quality education our students receive in our classrooms prepares them to be well rounded citizens with a biblical worldview who will be successful leaders in their respective communities.
At South Hills Academy, we have five expected student outcomes for our eagles over the course of their academic career. These include being:
Christ Centered – being aware that in everything we do in our work and play, that Christ our Lord and Savior is the foundation of it all and that our day-to-day character and actions should reflect Christ within us.
Effective Communicators – students learn to read, write, speak, and listen effectively in a variety of situations and classroom settings, which will better prepare them for success in college and their chosen career paths.
Socially Engaged – learning how to work and play well with others is a must for success in the future, and we at SHA understand the importance of our students learning to work and communicate with a vast array of personalities and learning how to respect and appreciate both the differences and similarities that make up our student body.
Critical Thinkers – in the day and age of ever evolving technology, it is more vital than ever for out students to become critical thinkers. With the bombardment of information over both traditional mediums of communication and the newer and oftentimes strange world of social media, it is more important than at any other time in history for our students to recognize truth from disinformation, and how to sort everything out. By the time our students graduate, they have built a strong foundation in learning how to separate fact from fiction.
Global Citizens – one of the benefits of social media and instant communication is that our world has become smaller and more globalized. Here at SHA, we have students who come to us from all over the world. We have students from China, Russia, Mexico, El Salvador, Japan, and many other countries. Our SHA eagles leave us having a solid appreciation of the current situations and peoples of the world and can interact with a vast array of cultures with respect, kindness, and admiration.
